THE GOATS A CRACK HO MAN!

Good to be home. 5 days early in fact. Another successful jaunt, found a ton of stuff including a valley of artwork - very cool!

We stayed in what was some of the worst accommodation we've had in a while. When we got to the camp the manager said "Just so you know, your rooms are crap, your showers and amenities are crap and in fact the area you are staying in is condemned! Just so you know". "Oh and we call your area The Bronx enjoy your stay".

We dubbed it the ghetto, now hum that Elvis tune in your head -

On a cold and gray Chicago mornin

A poor little baby child is born

In the ghetto

And his mama cries

cause if theres one thing that she dont need

Its another hungry mouth to feed

In the ghetto

Well we sung that a few times sitting on the chairs outside our rooms :o)

Joel, in the ghetto

But it was a good crew and we had a good time, spun a few yarns with the old fellas and the not so old fellas amongst us. One great story was told by Adrian, he works as a stockman on a camp near Marble Bar at times. They had a goat on the property that had become addicted to the exhaust fumes from cars etc. When they took out the buggies to round up cattle it would run behind them suckin in the fumes until it was stoned, then it would wander off. Drifting no doubt into a psychedelic haze of purple goats :o)

Whenever someone started up the generator it would get up and tear across, butt the person who started it out of the way and stand there suckin the fumes in again. You so didn't want to get between this goat and its addiction!! Sadly the goat became more and aggressive and it was feared that it might hurt a child so they had to shoot it. See kiddies, drugs are bad n'kay!!

This is a hill above a site we were working on that had Adam transfixed for some reason, I hummed the tune to Picnic at Hanging Rock whenever I caught him staring at it :o)

More stuff soon, when I get hold of the pics, including a close encounter with a dingo!
