RANT VIII - KISS MY SUSHI SMEARED BUTT

I find it outrageous that Japan is continuing to push for an increase in whaling. The International Whaling Commission is currently meeting in Ulsan, South Korea and Japan is enticing other nations to come onto their side, mostly little African nations. Why would a small African nation want to allow whaling, because Japan will offer them aid packages in exchange for their vote. That's why.

Japan should be ashamed of their actions. Let this be made clear, whale meat is not the staple diet of the Japanese as they would have you believe, almost 70-80% of all whale meat consumed in Japan is in the form of school lunches. Yes school lunches, it creates visions of the lunch lady on the simpsons mincing cardboard into the gruel. Highly unnecessary and utterly shameful.

Japan is attempting to convince the world that we shouldn't interfere with their cultural practices, that they've been hunting whales for centuries, hmmmm quite possibly the odd whale was hunted pre world war 2 but it was a lack of food in the post war Japan that led to full blown commercial whaling. Japan is no longer the war ravished nation it was in 1945, it is one of the worlds booming economies. THEY DON'T NEED TO EAT WHALE MEAT ANYMORE. Furthermore, if it is part of Japans cultural heritage, show me when historically Japan was hunting these whales in the southern oceans near Antartica. Japan has NO history of this practice, Japan is full of shit :o)
.
Let's hope sanity prevails and this argument wins.

Japan’s insistence on whaling is an outrage. We should boycott their goods. I’m not joking. Let’s attach a $75 whaling tax on every item imported to the U.S. from Japan.
